Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #12: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw, an event that kicks off at 2 p.m. local time here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas and will see players starting with 25,000 chips.

Day 1 will play 15 40-minute levels with 15-minute breaks every three levels, with no dinner break. Day 2, kicking off at 1 p.m. local time Monday, will play down to five players with 15-minute breaks every two 60-minute levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 16 around 7:30 p.m.

Last year, David Funkhouser took home $123,314 and the WSOP gold bracelet after defeating a field of 453 entrants. The final table featured mixed game regulars Owais Ahmed, Ali Eslami, and David “ODB” Baker, but it was Funkhouser who came out on top, defeating Frenchman Michel Leibgorin heads up.

"It means a lot," Funkhouser told PokerNews. "[I've come] close this year and close for many years. Played dozens, if not hundreds, of these. They're hard to win. We had a tough final table, and Michel is a fantastically tough opponent. "

Many notable players have won this event over the years, including Phil Hellmuth winning his 16th bracelet in 2021 and Jason Mercier winning his sixth in 2023.
