Bradley Jansen has played four events thus far at the 2025 WSOP, without results. On his hunt for his first cash, he registered the $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 on time and immediately got involved in several pots.
He raised to 300 in the hijack, which Jeff Mills called in the big blind. Each player drew two cards, and Jansen folded when Mills led out for 700.
The next hand, Ray Villaman opened to 600 under the gun, which Jansen three-bet to 1,800. Mills called in the small blind, and Villaman came along as well.
Mills and Jansen each drew one card, while Villaman decided to stay pat. Mills then checked to Villaman, who fired 4,800. Jansen quickly laid his hand down, but Mills tossed in an instant call.
Villaman showed 10x7x5x4x3x for a ten-low, but Mills tabled 9x8x7x6x4x for a nine-low and won back-to-back pots.
Meanwhile, Ryan Hoenig and Ariel Mantel were discussing whether single draw or triple draw was their game of preference.
Christopher Vitch opened to 300 from under the gun and received calls from Brandon Nicholson in the small blind and Eric Tipsword in the big blind. Nicholson and Tipsword each drew two while Vitch stood pat.
Action checked around to Vitch who bet 800. Nicholson check-raised to 3,000 and Tipsword folded while Vitch went into the tank.
After about 90 seconds Vitch flicked in the call. Nicholson showed 9x7x6x4x2x and Vitch mucked.

Last year, David Funkhouser took home $123,314 and the WSOP gold bracelet after defeating a field of 453 entrants. The final table featured mixed game regulars Owais Ahmed, Ali Eslami, and David “ODB” Baker, but it was Funkhouser who came out on top, defeating Frenchman Michel Leibgorin heads up.
"It means a lot," Funkhouser told PokerNews. "[I've come] close this year and close for many years. Played dozens, if not hundreds, of these. They're hard to win. We had a tough final table, and Michel is a fantastically tough opponent. "
Many notable players have won this event over the years, including Phil Hellmuth winning his 16th bracelet in 2021 and Jason Mercier winning his sixth in 2023.
