Taylor Triples Up

Level 16

2-7 Triple Draw

Esther Taylor raised all in for 14,500 from under the gun and both Jeffery Gibson in the cutoff and Wayne Stock in the big blind called.

The first draw saw Stock draw three, Taylor draw two, and Gibson draw one.

Stock drew two while both Taylor and Gibson drew one.

On the final draw, Stock drew one, Taylor stood pat, and Gibson drew one.

"Looks like you triple up," Gibson said as action checked through the final round as it had done the two rounds prior.

Taylor turned over 9x7x6x3x2x and both of her opponents mucked, ceding Taylor the pot.

Players at the Borgata Casino Hotel and Spa were gifted with the opportunity to play not one, not two, but nine different games in Event #3: Etay’s Big Big 9-Game Mix.

The combination of H.O.R.S.E., NL 2-7, 2-7 TD, PLO, and NLH drew out a total of 48 entrants to play, with only 10 players surviving into the second day. Just six players will receive a piece of the $150,000 prize pool, with all eyes fixed on the $56,170 yet to be awarded to first place.

Leading the way is Ryan Moriarty (278,500) who edged out Michael Falk (265,500) and Jeffrey Gibson (252,000) for the lead of the field. Moriarty’s no stranger to the mixed games, with his biggest lifetime cash being a runner up finish in a triple draw event three years ago. The New York poker player looks to find his way into the money here today.

Also still in the field is the tournament’s namesake, Esther Taylor (30,000). She is looking to put her name on the trophy for a second time and she will have to outlast her nine opponents to do so.

All levels will be 40 minutes from here on out, with players returning to Level 16 at 12:15 pm. Blinds in the no-Limit and pot-limit games will be 2,000/4,000, blinds in the limit games will be 4,000/8,000, and the stud games will have a 2,000 ante and bring in with limits at 8,000/16,000. A 15-minute break will occur at the conclusion of each level and play will continue until a winner is crowned.
