Straight Flush on the Bubble
Level 18
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Pot-Limit Omaha
With the tournament still on the bubble, Robert Cowen opened the button to 50,000 and only Bryce Yockey called from the big blind.
Yockey elected to check-raise on a flop of 10♥8♦J♠ from 45,000 to 200,000, and Cowen called.
Yockey continued to bet on the 9♦ turn, and again for 200,000. Cowen called again.
The river J♦ slowed the action down as both players checked. However, it seemed Yockey was setting the trap when he turned over the rivered straight flush, showing down Q♦J♣10♦9♥.
Cowen mucked his hand, and Yockey scooped the pot.
