Ethridge check-called an 11,500 bet from Madsen on the 7♠ turn and checked a final time on the 6♦ river.

Madsen bet pot and Ethridge quickly called.

Madsen turned over 8♠4♦3♥2♦ for a low and a pair and Ethridge held Q♦8♥3♦2♠ for the same low without a pair to be quartered.

Action was picked up on the flop in a three-bet pot between Ralph Rudd in the big blind and Bjorn Verbakel in the hijack.

The flop rolled out J♥7♥K♠ and Rudd bet 30,000, prompting Verbakel to move all in for 120,000 and Rudd called.

The board ran out 9♠4♦ and the set of jacks was good for Verbakel to double at the expense of Rudd, leaving him with just 6,000 after the hand.

Jonathan Ingalls limped from middle position and Andrei Kaigorodtcev called in the small blind. Max Pescatori checked his option in the big blind for a three-way pot.

Kaigorodtcev bet on the J♣3♣3♠ flop, which got a fold from Pestacori and a raise from Ingalls to put Kaigorodtcev all in. Kaigorodtcev called and hands were revealed.

Kaigorodtcev was well ahead with his trip threes and the J♦4♥ runout needlessly improved him to a full house for the double up.

Prociak Takes From Fishman

Action was picked up on the river in a pot between David Prociak in middle position and Ray Fishman in the hijack.

The board read 10♦K♠2♣8♠2♦ and each player had three bets in front of them, with Prociak putting a fourth out into the middle.

"This is a sick joke," lamented Fishman as he quickly tossed in the call.

Prociak tabled A♣5♠4♦2♥ for three twos and Fishman shook his head, showing A♠K♥9♠3♠ for a pair of kings with both missed low and flush draws. Prociak took in the pot while Fishman sat back in his chair, shaking his head.

The Biggest Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo Event Ever Sees Many Stars on Day 2

1,239 entrants came out to make Event #15: $1,500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo the biggest ever mixed Omaha hi-lo event ever run. Just 264 players made it into Day 2 at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas to compete for the massive prize pool of $1,644,773, of which only 186 will see any piece. Everyone of the cashers will get at least $3,029 for their efforts, all the way up to the $258,193 that will be awarded to the recipient of the WSOP gold bracelet.

Three WSOP bracelet winners lead the way as James Obst (481,500), Benjamin Miner (467,500), and Ryan Laplante (388,500) all look to add another bracelet to their decorated resumes. Sammy Farha (338,500) enjoyed a sizable bag as well and will be looking to add a fourth bracelet to his collection, 15 years after his last win.

Defending champion Magnus Edengren (57,000) will be looking to sit once more upon his mixed Omaha throne. Others that found bags in this event included Rep Porter (271,500), Scott Clements (232,000), Christopher Vitch (185,500), Max Pescatori (150,000), Jeff Madsen (131,500), and this week’s champions David Shmuel (153,500) and Benny Glaser (133,500).

Play will begin at 1:00 in Horseshoe Bronze and players will play ten levels, blind levels being upped to 60 minutes. Level 16 will be the first level of play with blinds in the limit game at 2,000/4,000, with 4,000/8,000 limits. In the pot-limit games, blinds will begin at 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 ante.
