Only 25 players remain in the hunt for gold as Event #15: $1,500 Mixed Omaha resumes today at 1 p.m. at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. After a swingy Day 2 that saw 264 hopefuls cut down to just 25, it's Abdyl Konjuhi who leads the way with a commanding 3,195,000 chip stack — standing as the only player to surpass the three-million mark.
Two of the remaining contenders, Benny Glaser and David Shmuel, will be aiming to capture their second bracelet of the series.
Glaser, already a six-time WSOP champion, took down Event #8: $1,500 Dealer’s Choice, while Shmuel claimed victory earlier in Event #4: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better. With just a fraction of the field left, the prospect of a double-bracelet summer looms large.
