Bello Survives his Big Blind

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Elvyn Bello was clinging to a very short stack in the big blind when Jakob Miegel raised to 20,000. After taking a moment to assess the situation, Bello opted to defend and made the call.

The flop came 7910, and Bello checked. Miegel quickly fired a continuation bet of 15,000, and with just 9,000 chips behind, Bello committed the rest.

Elvyn Bello: K10 All in
Jakob Miegel: J10

The A turn and A river improved both players to two pair, but Bello’s king kicker played, securing him a much-needed double-up.
