Negreanu, Friedman Headline Day 2 of $10,000 Dealers Choice

A star-studded field will assemble inside the Horseshoe Event Center when Day 2 of Event #18: $10,000 Dealers Choice begins at 1 p.m. local time.

A total of 62 players return for the event’s penultimate day, led by Ryan Hoenig with 298,500. Right behind him is Adam Friedman, a three-time champion of this event who begins the day in second place with 258,000.

Daniel Negreanu, looking for another shot at bracelet number eight, after finishing runner-up in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Championship yesterday, is in third place with 255,000.

Day 1 had 121 players take a shot in this ultimate test of poker versatility. Late registration remains open for the first level of the day, so there is a chance for the field to surpass last year’s total of 141. The action picks up on Level 11 with limits of 4,000/8,000 and No-Limit blinds of 1,000/2,000. Levels begin at 60 minutes but will be extended to 90 minutes beginning with Level 16. The schedule calls for eight levels to be played today.
