She Wants Him to Go
Level 22
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Heads-up, Christian Roberts shoved all-in from the button. Even before Duff Charette could decide what to do, the dealer started preparing for a flop, evoking Charette to say, "She wants me to go? If she wants me to go, then I go." He made the call taking them to showdown.
Christian Roberts: 3♣3♦
Duff Charette: K♠9♠
Charette spiked a pair with his overcard on the flop A♥A♣K♦ And with the runout of Q♥2♥ Roberts was eliminated resulting in Charette moving to the final day.
Roberts didn't leave empty handed however, as after so many hours of playing together, he had found himself a buddy. The two players shook hands and exchanged numbers to maybe chill and have a beer at a later time.
