Kalas the Crooner is Here

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Kane Kalas, classically trainer singer and poker payer, joined the event early in the second level.

Kalas, who sang the national anthem at the Philadelphia Phillies season opener a couple months ago, as he does every year, sat at a table next to pro Allen Kessler.

Kessler suggested Kalas should sing the national anthem before the start of a day at the WSOP. Kessler said he would gladly sing the song at a bracelet ceremony when he wins an event.

Kalas eventually agreed to Kessler's idea of singing The Star-Spangled Banner before the Main Event.

"I'll set it up," Kessler said.

Stay tuned.
