Defending champion Caleb “Bruno” Furth is in the field from the start today, sitting with close to a starting stack. Almost a year ago to the day, Furth outlasted 1,277 entrants to claim his first WSOP bracelet and a then-career best score of $265,361.
This WSOP has been a dream run for Furth so far. Just a few days ago, he came back from a single chip in Event #5: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha to win his second bracelet and a new career-high cash of $620,696, proving the old saying “a chip and a chair” really is true.
