Schreiber Swinging Down

Level 26 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

James Newberry raised in middle position. It folded to Matthew Schreiber in the big blind, who called and drew one card. Newberry followed suit and called when Schreiber led out after the draw.

Both players remained pat throughout the next two draws, with Schreiber betting twice and Newberry calling to showdown. Schreiber announced a ten, but Newberry tabled 864A for an eight-badugi to win the pot.

The next hand, Schreiber raised in the small blind, calling when David Margolis made it three bets in the big blind. Schreiber took two cards, Margolis remained pat.

Schreiber check-called a bet from Margolis before drawing one card on the second draw. Margolis still stood pat, betting after Schreiber checked again. Schreiber called again, drawing one more card on the final draw.

They then checked to showdown, where Schreiber frustratedly flung his cards into the muck when Margolis revealed K732 for a king-badugi.

One hand later, Dominick Sarle raised in the hijack, Schreiber three-bet on the button, and Sarle four-bet. Schreiber called, seeing Sarle stand pat.

"I misread my hand," Schreiber stated as he drew two cards. He then called a bet and drew one card after Sarle remained pat. Another bet and call followed, and the same drawing sequence occurred one more time.

When it checked to showdown, Sarle's 9732 was declared victorious over Schreiber's mucked cards.
