Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Aliaksandr Shylko raised to 60,000 in the cutoff. Erik Seidel sat in the big blind, and the short-stacked Hall of Famer committed his last 210,000 when the action had folded to him. Shylko made a quick call, revealing the cards.

Erik Seidel: A8 All in
Aliaksandr Shylko: AJ

Seidel did not improve on the Q102 flop or 4 turn, and the J river made Shylko a pair to spell the end of Seidel's tournament run.

Mcewan Runs into Bullets

Level 14 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Nursing a short-stack, Matthew Mcewan moved all in for 210,000. When action folded to Byron Kaverman in the small blind, he called, and the big blind folded.

Matthew Mcewan: J10 All in
Byron Kaverman: AA

The flop gave Mcewan plenty of opportunity to crack the aces, coming 8JQ.

Alas, the turn and river were less cooperative, the 2 and K were no help, and Mcewan headed to the exit.

Over at another table, Gregory Jensen was eliminated as the last player before the dinner break.

Hemyari Joins the Payout Queue

Level 15 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

With roughly 250,000 already in the pot, Georgios Sotiropoulos and Keyavash Hemyari were looking at a board of 102KQ.

Hemyari, in the big blind, check-called a bet of 130,000, leaving himself roughly the same behind.

When the river 5 was revealed, Hemyari checked again. Sotiropoulos set him all in, and Hemyari made a dejected call.

Sure enough, Sotiropoulos turned over two-pair, Q10, which was enough to send Hemyari to the rail, who turned over K8.

Bujtas Hits the Rail

Level 16 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Laszlo Bujtas raised to 80,000 in the cutoff, and only Wai Kiat Lee called in the big blind.

On the 2Q4 flop, Bujtas continued for 50,000 when checked to. Lee sprang into action, check-raising to 110,000, but the betting action wasn't over yet. Back to Bujtas, who three-bet to 185,000. This time, Lee just called.

The turn came the K and Lee checked again. Bujtas then moved all in for his remaining 350,000, and Lee snap-called.

Wai Kiat Lee: K10

Bad news for Bujtas as his opponent had taken the lead on the turn. The 8 had no effect, and Bujtas headed to the exit.
