Lawrence Brandt called in the hijack and in the cutoff, Joao Vieira raised to 24,000. On the button, Edward Hess moved all in for 42,000 and only Vieira called to put him at risk.

Three ways to a flop of 5♣7♣5♥. Filippos Stavrakis bet the pot for 78,000, Igor Zektser folded, and Kevin Dwyer responded with a pot-sized raise of his own. Stavrakis went all in and they were off to see a turn and river.

Both players had flopped fives full of sevens but the turned 8♣ favored Dwyer as he had a better low.

One of the most popular split pot poker variants ever, Event #27: $1,500 Big O drew out a total of 1,499 entrants over the course of registration. A fast and furious affair saw the money bubble burst towards the end of the day as the 207 bagging players all ensured themselves a piece of the $1,989,922 prize pool. Every player eliminated today will get at least $3,027, but all eyes rest on the $297,285 yet to be awarded to the victor.

Leading the way is Michael Rodgers (654,000) who secures himself his third WSOP cash, all coming in split pot Omaha variants. Others who made it into the day included WSOP bracelet winners Justin Liberto (495,000), James Chen (434,000), Michael Noori (372,000), Ari Engel (299,000), and Andrew Brown (277,000). Defending champion Michael Christ (269,000) will have to rise up into the third day to continue his run at back-to-back titles.

Today at 1:00 p.m. in the Horseshoe, players will return to Level 16. Blinds will begin at 3,000/6,000, with a 6,000 big blind ante and levels will last one hour each. After Level 21, there will be a 60-minute dinner break and players will play four more levels after that.
