Chatty Wolfson

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

On a pot of 150,000 and a flop of 752, action was waiting for Rob Hollink in the small blind after his heads-up opponent, Ryan Wolfson bet 100,000 to the pot. Hollink was staring at Wolfson as he considered his options. But Wolfson was busy chatting to his seatmate Christian Roberts not paying attention to Hollink at all.

Hollink made the call and checked when the 7 turn fell. Wolfson quickly glanced at the board, still conversing with Roberts when he fired another 220,000. Hollink totally out of the conversation and being totally ignored, took his time to mull over his next move. Once again, he decided to call.

The 9 river fell and Hollink knuckled once again. Wolfson, finally finished with his conversation, stared back at Hollink. After a few seconds, he anounced all-in for around 1,200,000.

Hollink, covered, threw in a one chip call. Wolfson showed KK prompting Hollink to muck his hand and leave the table. Wolfson scooped the pot as the tournament director told the players that the table will be broken.

The turn brought the 3, completing Hartshorn’s straight and leaving Brown drawing dead. The 9 river was just a formality as Brown hit the rail and Hartshorn secured himself a spot at the top of chip counts.
