Chen's Kings No Good Against Ludemann's Rockets

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Dong Chen
Dong Chen

Dong Chen opened the button to 40,000 and Jarod Ludemann three-bet from the big blind to 110,000. Chen, who had around 450,000 to start the hand, just called.

On the J3J flop, Ludemann continued with a bet of 105,000, which Chen called to see the 4 drop on the turn. Ludemann then bet 300,000, and Chen called off his stack of around 230,000.

Dong Chen: KK All in
Jarod Ludemann: AA

Chen's Cowboys were way behind the bullets of Ludemann and nothing changed when the 8 fell on the river, leaving Chen on the sidelines late on Day 2.

Sotiropoulos Eliminates Obara

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Georgios Sotiropoulos
Georgios Sotiropoulos

Georgios Sotiropoulos raised from early position to 40,000 and Jun Obara moved all in from middle position for his last 445,000.

Sotiropoulos didn't take too long to make the call, putting Obara at risk.

Jun Obara: 108 All in
Georgios Sotiropoulos: 77

Sotiropoulos' flopped boat on the 373 board all but sealed the deal, with the 10 turn and 2 river offering no salvation for Obara and sending him to the payout desk.

Normand Makes Big Call to Eliminate Snead

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The action was picked up on the river with about a 300,000 pot in the middle and a board of Q2K35, and Paul Snead moved all of his chips in for 580,000.

Frederic Normand went deep into the think tank and eventually made the call.

Paul Snead: 109 All in
Frederic Normand: K8

Despite the dealer announcing incorrectly that Snead had a flush, Normand won the pot with his pair of kings.

Langianese Rakes a Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Pavlin Karakikov opened from the hijack to 40,000 and got a call from Jason Langianese in the big blind.

On the 93J flop, Langianese check-called a bet of 40,000 from Karakikov to the K turn, where both checked.

A 9 completed the board and Langianese led out with a bet of 110,000. Karakikov needed just a few seconds to make a decision, and he did so by sliding his cards into the muck.

Despite Hating the Spot Normand Doubles up Through Remitio

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Joshua Remitio was on the button and raised to 40,000, and Frederic Normand moved all in for 620,000 in the small blind. Remitio called immediately. Normand stated, "I hate these spots where I'm supposed to shove 30 big blinds into the button raise".

Frederic Normand: 55 All in
Joshua Remitio: AK

Normand managed to dodge both of Remitio's overcards when the board ran out with 927J8, and Normand's pair was golden.

Eicher Loses a Flip

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Noel Eicher open jammed under the gun for 200,000. Only Eric Blair contemplated for a couple of minutes, but eventually found the call. The two players turned over their cards:

Noel Eicher: A8 All in
Eric Blair: 55

Eicher failed to connect with the 6K10 flop.

When the turn brought the 10 Eicher was hoping to spike one of his outs on river, however, the dealer turned over the 3 and he was sent to the rail.

Ludemann Makes Karakikov Fold the River

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Kharlin Sued opened from middle position and Pavlin Karakikov called in the cutoff. Jarod Ludemann also called out of the big blind.

The flop came 2108 and once the action checked to Karakikov, he fired 35,000. Ludemann called and Sued got out of the way.

An 8 dropped on the turn and Ludemann decided to switch it up and lead out with a bet of 60,000. Karakikov wasn't going anywhere and made the call to watch the J fall on the river. Ludemann showed no signs of slowing down and put out a bet of 290,000, which got Karakikov to release his cards quickly.
