After an eventful Day 2 that saw Event #30: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship smash its previous attendance record with 233 total entries, just 16 contenders remain, and one name stands out above the rest — Daniel Negreanu.

The Poker Hall of Famer and seven-time bracelet winner is on yet another deep WSOP run after bagging 1,620,000 chips — good for third place heading into Day 3. Negreanu is chasing his first bracelet in this variant and eighth bracelet overall after a bittersweet runner-up finish in the Omaha Hi-Lo Championship last week.

However, Negreanu's path will not be easy, as the remaining field is packed with elite poker talent. Leading the way is George Alexander with 1,835,000 in chips, followed closely by Dan Smith (1,775,000), who surged late last night after winning a pivotal pot against Alex Foxen. Other notables in the hunt include Nick Schulman (1,195,000), Greg Mueller (1,070,000), Chad Eveslage (795,000), and Brian Rast (540,000), to name a few.
