The players are now on a 15-minute color up break.
We pick up the action with Geoffrey Coatar making a call on the turn with a request of the dealer.
"Don't do me dirty," he said.
With a board reading: Q♠Q♦A♥ the 10♣ landed on the river. Derek Gregory, playing from the small blind, bet 950,000. Coatar didn't hesitate to go all in.
Gregory sat for nearly five minutes trying to decide what to do. Were he to fold, he would have some 1,700,000 chips. If he called and lost, his tournament run would be over.
Finally, an opponent called for the clock. With about 15 seconds left for his hand to be declared dead, Gregory made the call.
Coatar showed Q♣10♦ for the full house and massive takedown that put him atop the leaderboard.
Gregory turned over Q♥3♣ showing why the decision was such a difficult one to make.

The first week of the 2025 World Series of Poker came out swinging with big bluffs, brutal beats, and more than a few moments that had the entire poker world talking.
Whether it was Nick Schulman dropping the coldest line of the summer, Michael "Texas Mike" Moncek shoving blind into four premium hands, or Christopher Zollo turning a meme-worthy alias into a legit bracelet run, the first seven days of poker's biggest festival did not disappoint.
Shawn Buchanan opened the button and Vuong Do shoved the big blind for around 1,400,000. Buchanan called.
Vuong Do: K♦10♣
Shawn Buchanan: A♣Q♦
Do needed to play catch up, but it seemed a longshot after the 9♥Q♣A♥ flop gave Buchanan two pair. A jack is what Do needed, but the 2♦8♣ runout was of no help, and he was eliminated.

Apparently we have reached the point in the tournament where players are in the mood to sing.
First up was, Geoffrey Coatar, who went all in on the river with a board of 5♠J♠8♦6♥10♣. While Adam Hall considered a call that would put him all in, Coatar began a medley of simple riffs while suggesting that Hall should fold.
"All up in your neighborhood," Coatar sang with a high-pitched soprano-ish wail.
Seconds after Hall folded to quiet Coatar for the time being, one table over, Duncan Horst belted out a stirring rendition of "God Bless America."
The appropriately attired Horst, sporting a U.S. Flag-colored sweatsuit, received an ovation from the crowd.

The action was picked up as the players revealed their cards on a board of K♠5♣7♠3♦9♠ and Peter Fox had his remaining 475,000 in the middle.
Peter Fox: 6♠8♠
Duc Nguyen: K♦K♣
Nguyen flopped a set of kings and Fox had a combo draw with an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw. Fox improved to a flush on the river and now has over 3 million in chips.
