One of the biggest coolers we'll see at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) took place in the biggest buy-in event so far this summer.
Aces versus kings is always a brutal set-up, but a set-over-set involving those two premium holdings is as painful as it gets. But that's exactly what happened near the money bubble on Day 2 of Event #32: $50,000 High Roller.
PokerNews' Calum Grant captured the hand between Ben Tollerene and Joey Weissman, which took place at the end of Level 13 with blinds of 15,000/30,000/30,000 and 34 players remaining with 26 spots paid.
These are the latest chip counts according to the latest WSOP+ app update.

With full bellies, the players are back in their seats and play has resumed.
Stephen Lee moved all in for 1,400,000 from middle position and Yiannis Liperis put him at risk from the small blind.
Stephen Lee: Q♦4♦
Yiannis Liperis: J♣J♦
The flop came 6♥9♦7♦, giving Lee a flush draw, but he didn't seem to need it as the Q♠ hit the turn. Lee was one card away from a double-up, but the J♥ on the river gave Liperis a set.
The table couldn't believe it, but Lee was out in 17th after that brutal river.

After the redraw, the first few hands did not bring a flop. When it did, the intensity increased quickly.
Shawn Buchanan, from middle position, took the lead against big blind Ryan Hohner, by raising preflop, then adding 700,000 to the pot after J♠9♠5♦ hit the board. Hohner made the call.
Both players checked the turn of 10♠ and the river 6♣. Hohner showed K♥Q♥ to take down the hand with a straight, and move ahead of Buchanan in chips.

Matthew Morin made it 1,000,000 to go in middle position and Lukas Hafner called from the big blind.
The flop came 8♦K♦2♣ and Hafner check-called a bet of 700,000 from Morin to the J♥ turn. Again Hafner checked, and again Morin bet, this time for 1,800,000. Hafner folded.

Ryan Hohner raised from early position to 1,000,000 and Duncan Horst pushed his ~10,000,000 chip stack into the middle from the button. Hohner made the call.
Duncan Horst: A♣J♣
Ryan Hohner: K♠K♥
The board ran out J♥9♠4♠K♣10♣ which was not enough to save Horst, and he exited the tournament in 16th place.
