Lukas Hafner and Nicholas Verderamo, among the chip leaders, went head-to-head in a huge pot.

Picking up the action after a flop of 10Q9, Hafner bet 200,000 from the button. Verderamo, in the cutoff made the call.

The players checked the turn of 8, but Verderamo fired first when 10 was tabled on the river, betting 255,000. Hafner sat for a bit, then raised to 1,150,000.

Verderamo gave it a full minute and a half of study before finally making the call. Hafner showed 99 for the full house that earned him a pot of more than three million.
