Paused Clock Distracts Marchington

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Nicholas Marchington opened for 60,000 and got one caller in Lester Edoc in the big blind.

The dealer flopped QK2. Edoc check-called Marchington's bet of 40,000.

The turn 4 dropped and both players checked. On the river J, Edoc checked once again but Marchington seemed to be distracted by what's going on in the other tables as no other table was dealing.

Apparently, the clock was paused to resolve an unknown issue. Marchington just checked. Edoc tabled Q7 while Marchington showed K10 for top pair.

The clock resumed soon after.

Yoon Knocked Out

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Brian Yoon
Brian Yoon

Brian Yoon made the all-but-one-in move for 280,000 chips, holding onto his last red chip worth 5,000. Luis Yepez Carmona, who had a little over 300,000 chips in his stack gave a prolonged study of the board 25K10Q.

Eventually, the clocked was called and midway through the 30-second countdown, Carmona made the call.

Yoon showed A3 for an ace-high bluff. Carmona let out a yelp, then turned over K9.

Yoon, a five-time WSOP bracelet winner, was immediately forced to toss in his lone remaining chip, as he was in the big blind the next hand. Genady Mayzel was the opponent.

Chau Improves to a Boat

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Tsz Chau opened for 60,000 in cutoff and got both blinds to call - Alex James and Luis Yepez Carmona.

The three saw a flop of 782. The blinds checked and Chau continued with 150,000 making James fold. Carmona asked how much Chau had behind. The Englishman obliged by counting his chips for him. After the count was made, Carmona announced all-in and Chau snap-called.

Tsz Chau: JJ All in
Luis Yepez Carmona: 108

Carmona hit a pair on the flop but couldn't beat Chau's jacks. Carmona got additional outs when the 7 turn fell. On the river, another club dropped which should have given Carmona a flush but it was the J which gave Chau a full house.

Carmona was eliminated soon after.
