Defending Champ Enters and Wins a Big One

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
2024 Champion Sean Troha
2024 Champion Sean Troha

Xixiang Luo opened to 1,000 from early position and was called by Maksim Pisarenko in the hijack, Paul Zappulla on the button, and defending champion Sean Troha in the small blind.

On the 732 flop, it checked to Pisarenko who bet 1,800. Zappulla folded and Troha called before Luo check-potted to 12,200. Pisarenko quickly folded but Troha called.

The 9 turn checked through to the 6 river which saw Troha lead for 25,000. Luo would go deep into the tank for over two minutes before he tossed in the call. He got the bad news as Troha tabled A1094 for the nut low and a flush which was good for the scoop.
