Bruno Furth raised to 625,000 on the button, and Philip Sternheimer defended his big blind.
Sternheimer checked the 6♠9♦A♦ flop and Furth bet 500,000. Sternheimer check-raised the pot to 1,650,000. Furth potted it back, and Sternheimer shoved for 8,250,000 total. Furth quickly called.
Philip Sternheimer: A♠9♥4♠3♦
Bruno Furth: J♦10♠3♥2♦
Sternheimer had top two pair, against the flush draw and the better low draw of Furth.
The 7♣ completed the low and gave Furth some more outs to scoop the pot and win the tournament. However, the 2♥ fell on the river to counterfeit Furth's low, and Sternheimer scooped.
