Philip Sternheimer raised to 250,000 from early position with Bruno Furth calling from the next seat. When it folded to Brian Hastings on the button he squeezed all in for roughly 600,000, which only Furth called.

If Hastings were to win this all-in, he would be right back in the mix and no longer the short-stack of the final table. The board came 9♣3♦5♠10♠Q♠, which was favorable for Hastings as he rivered a flush to double-up again.

Brian Hastings opened the cutoff to 225,000 and Magnus Edengren snap-called in the small blind. In the big blind, Philip Sternheimer weighed his options before he elected to just call, although the three-bet face was in effect.

On the 8♣7♥6♦ flop, Sternheimer led for 250,000 from the big blind, Hastings moved all-in for 1,475,000, and Edengren instantly moved in for 1,675,000. Sternheimer put his head in his hands as he faced a tough decision.

"This would have been so much easier if I just potted pre," lamented Sternheimer, before he folded.

Edengren had the nut low while Hastings had the straight. The 10♣ turn gave Edengren a flush draw for the scoop, except for the seven of clubs which would give Hastings a straight flush. The K♥ bricked off on the river as the pot was chopped.

On the 4♦ turn, Furth sized up as he led again for 750,000, and both opponents swiftly folded.

Philip Sternheimer raised to 250,000 from middle position and Bruno Furth called from the hijack. Sam Soverel squeezed to 460,000 from the cutoff with just 65,000 behind. When it got back to Sternheimer, he made it 775,000, before Furth potted it to 2,935,000. Soverel called for the remainder of his stack, and the action was back on Sternheimer.

Furth had 2,785,000 behind and if Sternheimer were to call, it would make it the biggest pot of the tournament so far. After thinking for a while, Sternheimer had the clock called on him by Furth. Not too long after, Sternheimer folded and the cards were turned over with Soverel at risk

Bruno Furth: A♣A♥9♠2♣

Soverel was up against Furth's aces and looked likely to be heading to the rail. However, the board ran out A♠6♦5♣2♦9♣, giving Furth a set to win the high, while Soverel had an eight-six low, meaning they chopped up the pot.

On the A♣4♣2♠ flop, Sternheimer led for 325,000 and Furth called.

Sternheimer slowed down with a check on the A♦ turn. Furth fired for 800,000 and Sternheimer called.

On the 8♦ river with 3,000,000 in the middle, Sternheimer checked, Furth bet 2,400,000, and Sternheimer quickly folded as Furth takes the clear lead at the top of the counts.
