The End of Law
Ryan Law, in the small blind, opened with a 4,300,000 bet leaving only 250,000 behind. Big Blind player James Gauley asked for a count of his bet and after a few seconds announced all-in sending Law to the tank.
Law apologized and asked for some time to consider his option. But he took a lot of time, so much that, Carlos Saez Martinez started to complain. The table explained to Martinez that since there was so much at stake, they were willing to wait for him to consider his options. In the end, everyone agreed to give Law one more minute before the floor was called.
The floor was finally called and Law asked for a verbal countdown. At the very last second, Law announced a call.
Ryan Law: K♥6♥
James Gauley: Q♠10♠
When the hands were tabled, Gauley was gracious enough to comfort Law saying that he was ahead. And Law was ahead when the board ran A♦7♦3♥8♥ but the dreaded river fell 10♦ giving Gauley a pair and ending Law's deep run instantaneously.
