Pointer Runs Into Uvaydov's Set

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
John Pointer
John Pointer

David Uvaydov made it 800,000 from early position and John Pointer put in the call from the big blind.

On the 6J9 flop, Pointer checked and Uvaydov fired 500,000. Pointer had around 3,200,000 in his stack and after some time, he shoved. Uvaydov snap-called.

John Pointer: J10 All in
David Uvaydov: 66

Pointer was more than happy to get in top pair, but didn't stand much chance against the flopped set of Uvaydov. The A2 runout didn't change anything, and Pointer hit the rail.

Frew Can't Spin it Up

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Steven Frew had his last few big blinds in the middle from under the gun and was put at risk by John Oneal on the button.

Steven Frew: 86 All in
John Oneal: JJ

Frew had to take down the overpair, which didn't seem likely after the 67J flop gave Oneal top set. An 8 on the turn sealed the deal, and a meaningless 5 hit the river.

Leonard Gets Moore

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Dennis Moore had his stack of 3,075,000 in the pot preflop from early position and James Leonard called from the small blind.

Dennis Moore: A10 All in
James Leonard: AK

Moore was in need of a ten, but the 5JA flop didn't help him. An 8 on the turn left him with one chance at three outs, but the J river meant he was eliminated.

Park Sent Packing

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Ashish Gupta

Hye Park raised from the button to 600,000. In the small blind, Matthew Kramer went all-in for 1,475,000. Ashish Gupta, in the big blind, also went all-in covering both players. Park made the call.

Hye Park: QQ All in
Matthew Kramer: AJ All in
Ashish Gupta: AJ

The runout of K1047Q was cruel for Park, as the other two players found broadway on the river, sending him to the rail.

Law Triples Up as Gheba Hits the Rail

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Daniyal Gheba
Daniyal Gheba

Jules Rohr opened to 600,000 from under the gun and set off a chain reaction of all-ins that nobody expected. First, Daniyal Gheba shoved from middle position for around 5,800,000. Ryan Law then moved his stack of around 6,000,000 into the middle from the small blind.

In the big blind was Steven Frew, and he wasted no time in making the call, which put two players at risk. Rohr, seeing all the action in front of him, folded his KQ face up.

Daniyal Gheba: AQ All in
Ryan Law: KK All in
Steven Frew: AK

"I'm dead aren't I," said Gheba, who was in the worst shape preflop. He did catch a pair on the turn of 992Q, but the 6 river changed nothing as Law scooped the massive pot to triple up. Gheba was eliminated, and Frew's stack took a big hit.
