The Prince of Poker Makes His 2025 WSOP Debut

Level 9

Scotty Nguyen, well-known by his moniker "The Prince of Poker," recently took his seat and wasted little time getting involved.

Stud Hi-Lo

Scotty Nguyen: AK2/A736
Mark Cunningham: K43/4545

In a recent hand, Mark Cunningham completed and was raised by Scotty Nguyen. Action folded back to Cunningham, who called.

Cunningham called bets from Nguyen on fourth and fifth street and then led out for a bet on sixth. Nguyen raised and Cunningham called.

Cunningham led out for a bet again on seventh and Nguyen called.

Cunningham said, "Full house," as he turned over his hole cards and Nguyen looked less than amused as he turned over a pair of aces with a low for a split pot.

Despite the chopped pot, the 1998 Main Event Champ and Hall of Famer has still managed to take down his fair share of pots as of late and currenty sits with approximately 40,000.
