Ivanov Pays Engel Off

Level 23

Limit Hold'em

Ari Engel raised in middle position, after which Stanislav Ivanov made it three bets to go in the hijack. It folded back to Engel, who called before he check-called Ivanov's bet on the A39 flop.

The K turn was checked by both, and Engel fired a bet on the 4 river. After some though, Ivanov tossed in some calling chips for Engel to show AQ. Engel's pair of aces won the pot when Ivanov sighed and mucked his cards.

Level 23

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Alex Livingston raised in middle position, Thomas Taylor reraised in the hijack, and Livingston called.

Both players checked the Q63 flop. Livingston then bet the 7 turn and Taylor called.

Livingston bet again on the 4 river. Taylor had just over a big bet left and put in his last chips as Livingston called.

Taylor showed A1054 for a flush and a low. "I have a flush," Livingston said as he went to turn over his cards.

"Oh wait, I don't have a flush," Livingston added, rechecking his cards before sending them into the muck. "Mental mistake," he added as Taylor scooped the pot to double up.
