Polirer More Than Doubles

Level 27 : Limits 80,000/160,000, 0 ante
Eric Polirer
Eric Polirer

With Eric Polirer sitting almost all in from the big blind, Martin Matranca raised in the hijack. Gregory Wood called in the cutoff and Christopher Vitch did the same on the button. After checking his cards, Polirer moved his last 115,000 into the middle and was at risk.

Matranca checked to Wood on the 10410 flop, who fired a bet. That produced a quick fold from Matranca, leaving Polirer at risk heads-up.

Eric Polirer: J732 All in
Gregory Wood: AK53

The 9 turn brought Polirer a straight draw, which was completed on the 8 river. That was enough to earn the double, while Matranca and Vitch were left short.

Patrick Stacey raised in the hijack and Joe Ford made the call in the cutoff. Kevin Pier also came along on the button before Austin Marks defended his big blind.

Action checked to Pier on the 9J10 flop, who slid a bet into the middle. Marks then raised, committing almost all of his remaining stack. Stacey folded, with Ford and Pier making the call.

Marks slid out the rest of his chips on the 10 turn, with Ford making the call. Pier then announced a raise, and Ford got out of the way.

Austin Marks: KKQ3 All in
Kevin Pier: A1093

Pier turned over a full house, leaving his opponent drawing thin. Marks called for a king, but the 5 hit the river to end his run in 13th spot.

Matt Grapenthien raised on the button and in the small blind, Ilia Krupin three-bet and Grapenthien called.

The flop rolled out J33 and Krupin bet 10,000 to put Grapenthien all in and Grapenthien called.

Matt Grapenthien: AK75 All in
Ilia Krupin: J322

Krupin locked up the pot on the J turn to give him jacks full of threes before the inconsequential A river and the WSOP bracelet winner took his leave from the tournament area.

Melvin McCraney called in middle position before Dennis Morrison moved his short stack all in from the cutoff. Ilia Krupin announced a raise in the big blind, with McCraney making the call.

Krupin checked the 1047 flop and called after McCraney fired a bet into the middle. The two exchanged a bet and raise on the 5 turn, while Krupin led out for the final bet on the 3 river and McCraney called.

All three hands were turned up, with Morrison at risk.

Dennis Morrison: AK107 All in
Melvin McCraney: AK32

Krupin made a straight to take the high, while McCraney made the nut low. That left Morrison in last, ending his tournament run in 15th position.

Jon Kyte was heads up against Joseph Bertrand on the Jx3x6x flop. Kyte's stack was quickly in the middle and at risk against Bertrand.

Jon Kyte: AxKxJx10x All in
Joseph Bertrand: AQx7x2

Kyte's top pair fell behind after Bertrand connected with the Qx turn. The 7x river left Bertrand with two pair for the high, along with the nut low to scoop and send Kyte to the rail.
