Stacey Shows Down a Winner

David Shmuel raised in middle position and Patrick Stacey defended his big blind to the 538 turn. Stacey checked and made the call after Shmuel fired a bet.

Both players then checked the A turn and the dealer revealed the 9 river.

Stacey led out with a bet and was quickly called. Stacey showed 7742 for a wheel to scoop the first pot of the final table, raking in the chips as Shmuel mucked.

As play was being paused for the final table redraw Kevin Pier saw his short stack hit the middle on the turn of a Q10J9 board against Joe Ford on his right.

Ford's pocket kings held up through the 9 river, as Pier could not improve to exit in ninth place.

The remaining eight players racked up their chips to move to the final table.

Christopher Vitch moved his last 35,000 into the middle from under the gun and Melvin McCraney called the big blind. Ilia Krupin followed with a call in the small blind, and Gregory Wood checked his big blind option.

With Vitch at risk, Krupin led the Q73 flop with a bet. Wood called while McCraney got out of the way. Action repeated on the 8 turn, as Krupin's lead was called.

Both players checked down the 8 river and the hands were tabled.

Vitch checked the river K over to McCraney, who bet, which both Krupin and Vitch called.

Krupin Leaves Polirer Short

Three-way action on the 4J36 turn was down to heads-up after Ilia Krupin bet from early position and Eric Polirer check-called in the big blind.

Polirer checked again after seeing the K river, with Krupin firing one last bet. After a moment, Polirer slid in the call.

Krupin tabled AQ74 for a flush with a seven low, scooping the pot as Polirer could only muck his cards.

Stacey Puts On His Cape

Darren Taylor raised in the hijack and Patrick Stacey called in the small blind.

The flop rolled out K74 which saw Stacey lead out and Taylor called.

Stacey bet a second time on the turn K and Taylor called once more.

On the river 7, Stacey checked over to Taylor who bet and Stacey went into the tank. He shifted uncomfortably in his chair for a bit before putting in six green chips for the call.

Taylor turned over A1083 for just ace-high and Stacey turned over AQQ3 for kings and queens and he took down the pot.
