Lovell Gets Paid on the River

Level 7 : Limits 800/1,600, 0 ante

Four-handed on a flop of 973, Matthew Alexander bet from early position and was called by Alan Fidellow in the hijack, Bruno Fuentes on the button, and big blind David Lovell.

Action checked to Fuentes on the J turn and he bet. Only Lovell and Fidellow called to the Q river, where Lovell then led out with a bet.

Fidellow got out of the way, but Fuentes gave it some thought for a minute before calling. Lovell then showed AK102 for a straight and Fuentes mucked.

Spriggs is Sprigging Back

Level 7 : Limits 800/1,600, 0 ante
Rodney Spriggs
Rodney Spriggs

Rodney Spriggs raised in the hijack and both Larry Tobor in the small blind and Melvin McCraney in the big blind called.

Everyone checked the flop of 982 to the 2 turn where Tobor checked over to McCraney who bet and got two callers.

Action on the river 6 checked around to Spriggs who bet and Tobor folded while McCraney called.

Spriggs turned over K632 for twos full of sixes and McCraney tossed his hand into the muck.

"Oh no," lamented Tobor "you got my low out."

That earned a fist pump from Spriggs as the three-time WSOPC ring winner continued his upward climb after being down to just 2,300 in the early levels of the tournament.

Zack Takes One From Sprung

Level 7 : Limits 800/1,600, 0 ante

Former WSOP player of the year Dan Zack opened in early position and Daniel Sprung three-bet in late position which only Zack called.

The flop rolled out KK8 and Zack checked over to Sprung who bet and Zack raised which Sprung called.

Zack bet both the turn 10 and river 4 and Sprung called him each time.

At showdown, Zack tabled AKJ6 for three kings with an ace-kicker and Sprung tossed his hand into the muck, ceding the pot to the three-time bracelet winner.
