More Stories from Morgan as Vela Wins the Pot
On a pot of 7,000, John Morgan, on the button, was telling the table the stories of his earlier poker days as he, along with small blind George Yutuc and big blind Michael Vela, waited for the flop to be dealt.
The flop came 8♦4♦7♠, and as Morgan continued with tales of sex scandals and what-nots, Vela fired 3,500 after a check from Yutuc, who was intently listening.
Morgan, nonchalantly called while still chatting. Yutuc put in the chips after a split second glance at the board.
The turn 3♣ fell and after action passed to him, Vela threw in another 3,500. Morgan folded and said, "I could have gotten there but you can have it." Yutuc said exactly the same thing and threw his hand in.
As the dealer pushed the chips towards his direction, Vela said, "I'm going to say it right now. I'm going to win it [the event] this year." He then looked back at Morgan, and said, "Tell us more stories," and Morgan happily obliged.
