Hoffman Can't Catch a Break; Zinno Gaining on Blom
Limits: 30,000-60,000
The following flurry of hands all occurred just before the players went to break.
Hand 1:
Viktor Blom got three streets from Max Hoffman as a board ran out 2♠2♣6♣J♣7♠.
When Hoffman called the last barrel, he saw the bad news as Blom tabled 7♦7♥ for the rivered full house.
Hand 2:
Ryan Bambrick raised, Anthony Zinno put in a third bet, and Max Hoffman put in a fourth bet preflop. Bambrick and Zinno called.
Three ways to the 7♥2♦5♥ and the action went off the rails. Hoffman checked, Bambrick bet, Zinno raised, Hoffman raised, Bambrick folded, and Zinno called.
Heads up to the A♠ in a massively bloated pot, Hoffman bet. Zinno responded with a raise and Hoffman called.
The river was wet with the 6♥ and Zinno bet. Hoffman made a pained fold and the table demanded to see a bluff from one of the most action packed limit hold'em hands ever recorded. Zinno claimed to never bluff and continued to collect the pot.
Hand 3:
Anthony Zinno raised in late position and Max Hoffman put in the third bet from the small blind. Zinno called.
The dealer spread the A♠2♠6♣ and Hoffman bet. Zinno called.
The turn brought a third spade in the form of the Q♠ and Hoffman bet again. Zinno called.
The river brought a fourth spade with the 9♠ and Hoffman slowed down with a check. Zinno bet and Hoffman called.
Zinno tabled the K♥K♠ for the rivered nuts and a forcibly composed Hoffman flashed his hand to Zinno before sending it into the muck.
