With nearly every pot during heads-up being limped preflop, Veerachai Vongxaiburana decided to change things up a bit by raising to 700,000 on the button. Phil Hui called and they saw a flop of J38.

Both players checked to the 5 turn where Vongxaiburana bet 900,000. Hui called and the 8 river was also checked down.

Hui Regains the Lead

Phil Hui limped on the button, and Veerachai Vongxaiburana checked his big blind option.

Both players opted to check the 2JQ flop before Vongxaiburana led out for 400,000 on the 10 turn.

Hui called to see the 5 river, where Vongxaiburana checked. Hui fired a bet of 300,000, only to be check-raised to 1,300,000 by Vongxaiburana.

Hui made the quick call.

"Good call," Vongxaiburana said as Hui tabled AQ996 for top pair. That was enough to take over the chip lead as Vongxaiburana mucked.
