The time has come to crown the next champion at the 2025 World Series of Poker, as five contenders will return to Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas today to chase the coveted gold bracelet.
From a field of 402 entries, just the final five remain on Day 4 of Event #44: $10,000 Big O Championship, ready to resume their battle at 1 p.m. local time to determine a winner.
For chip leader Marco Johnson and 2019 PPC champion Phil Hui, it represents a chance to add to their bracelet collections. The duo continue to add 25K Fantasy points for their team owners, and are also the only remaining players who have tasted WSOP glory in the past.
Johnson holds a slight lead, sitting with 60 big blinds when play restarts. Hui is the short stack, but still holds a healthy 34 big blinds as he looks to spin it up on the final day.

Many eyes in the poker world will be on Viktor Blom, who is battling at his fourth final table of the series. The online poker legend has yet to add a WSOP bracelet to his career accolades, but that could finally come today as he returns to action second in chips. Blom has earned finishes of second, fourth and sixth among his five cashes this summer, looking to cross the finish line in Las Vegas for the first time.
Day 2 chip leader Veerachai Vongxaiburana holds a slim lead over Shawn Rice for third position on the leaderboard, with both players also searching for their first bracelet.
All five players have locked up $181,069, while today's winner will take home the top prize of $784,353.

Day 4 begins up at 1 p.m. local time, with 10 minutes remaining in Level 27. Blinds will resume at 50,000/100,000, with a 100,000 big blind ante. Action will continue with 60-minute levels until a winner is determined, with breaks after every two hours of play.

Veerachai Vongxaiburana raised to 225,000 under the gun and Marco Johnson three-bet to 825,000 on the button. Vongxaiburana called.
Both players checked to the river on a board of J♦K♥8♦5♦10♣ where Vongxaiburana bet 500,000. Johnson quickly folded.
The next hand, Johnson opened to 220,000 in the cutoff and Phil Hui three-bet to 725,000 in the small blind. Johnson called and the flop came 10♦9♣5♠.
Hui then potted to 1,600,000 and Johnson folded again.

Marco Johnson limped in the small blind and Viktor Blom checked his big blind option. Johnson led out for 240,000 on the 4♠8♠K♦ flop, producing a quick fold from Blom.
Blom then raised from the small blind on the next hand, making it 460,000. Phil Hui did not take long to send his cards into the muck.
Another raise from Blom followed on the next hand, making it 240,000 on the button. Hui and Veerachai Vongxaiburana both folded in the blinds, as Blom added another orbit to his stack.

Viktor Blom raised to 240,000 in the cutoff and Phil Hui called on the button.
The flop came K♠2♥6♥ and Blom bet another 240,000. Hui called and the Q♠ fell on the turn.
Blom then potted to 1,360,000 and Hui instantly announced all in for around 3,500,000 while Blom was still assembling his bet. Blom tanked for a minute but eventually folded as Hui took down the big pot.
The next hand, Hui raised to 360,000 in the cutoff and Veerachai Vongxaiburana called on the button.
Hui bet 700,000 on the 9♠K♠3♦ flop and Vongxaiburana called. He then checked the Q♥ turn, Vongxaiburana bet 1,800,000, and Hui folded.

Shawn Rice opened to 400,000 in the cutoff and was called by Phil Hui in the big blind. Hui checked the 10♠10♣A♦ flop and called after Rice continued for 200,000.
Hui then led on the K♦ turn, sliding out a bet of 600,000. Rice took some time before announcing "one-point-two," raising to 1,200,000.
After asking for a look at Rice's remaining stack, Hui let his hand go.
