Yeh Shows His Boat

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Brad Ruben made it 16,000 to go from the cutoff with Matthew Beinner calling from the small blind, and Andrew Yeh defending his big blind.

The action checked to Ruben on the 6Q5 flop, and he bet 18,000. Beinner and Yeh called.

Beinner checked again when the K hit the turn, and Yeh decided to lead out for 105,000. Ruben called, but Beinner folded.

Yeh jammed for around 200,000 upon seeing the Q roll off on the river. Ruben folded, and Yeh turned over Qx5x for a full house.

George Alexander
George Alexander

Around 200,000 was already in the middle as Huck Seed and George Alexander saw the turn on a board of 3J59. Seed then bet 180,000 from the hijack, Alexander moved all in on the button, and Seed called for around 60,000 more.

Seed showed J5432 for two pair, while Alexander had AQJ104. The K river gave Alexander a straight and Seed was sent to the rail.

"I made a bad play," Seed lamented on his way to the exit.

Krela's Tournament Comes to an End

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jonathan Krela
Jonathan Krela

On a flop of Q53 Jonathan Krela got his last 30,000 into the middle with Viktor Blom making the call to try and bust him from the big blind.

Jonathan Krela: AA1094 All in
Viktor Blom: K8642

Krela was one of the shortest stacks remaining in the tournament, so a scoop here would give him a good chance of sneaking into the money. However, the rest of the board came 9A, which may have improved Krela to a set of aces, but Blom ended up with a wheel, and sent Krela to the showers.

Anderson, Costa Both Show the Nuts

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Calvin Anderson bet 17,000 from middle position on a flop of KQ7 and Christopher Costa called in the hijack.

The turn was the 10 and Anderson paused for a minute before betting 63,000. Costa also took more than a minute until shoving all in for 250,000, and Anderson snap-called.

Costa showed AQJ92 for the nut straight, while Anderson also had the straight with AJJ66. The river was the Q and they made sure Costa didn't improve to a full house before chopping up the lengthy pot.

"It's nice that it only took 20 minutes when you both had the nuts," tablemate Ray Fishman said.
