Just 27 players remain heading into Day 3 of Event #47: $2,500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better; Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better here at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), and a few of them are vying to make history.
The stacked remaining field includes mixed game master Benny Glaser, who is looking for his third bracelet (a feat only accomplished by seven players) of the summer and eighth overall. Meanwhile, all-time bracelet leader Phil Hellmuth bagged 66 stacks of #POSITIVITY as he looks to extend his lead with bracelet number 18 after a slow start to the summer.
Meanwhile, big stacks like William Flachsbart, Christopher Claassen, Shirley Rosario and Day 2 chip leader Tobias Hausen will chase their first bracelets while navigating a field that includes Poker Hall of Famer Brian Rast, six-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb and old school legend Gus Hansen.

Those who ran deep but failed to advance to Day 3 include James Obst (52nd - $5,259), Carol Fuchs (38th - $6,669), and Felipe Ramos (46th - $5,854).
Day 3 will kick off at 1 p.m. local time on Level 23 with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and betting limits of 40,000/80,000. The plan is to play down to a winner with 15-minute breaks every two levels and a to-be-determined dinner break.

Jon Kyte brought in, Alexander Orlov completed, and Kyte defended. Kyte led out when he caught an ace on fourth street, which Orlov called.
Kyte caught a third open wheel card on fifth street. This time, Orlov folded to a bet from the Norwegian, who showed a fourth wheel card underneath.

Patrick Stacey stacey got all his 165,000 chips in on third street against bring-in Robert Price. Stacey made a full house on sixth street to lock up the pot and double his short stack.

Robert Wells completed and called a raise from Benny Glaser. Glaser then check-called on fourth street before Wells bet again on fifth street. Glaser raised and Wells three-bet all in. Glaser called and the cards were flipped. The next two streets were dealt and Wells was eliminated with a worse two pair.

Brian Rast and Gus Hansen both checked fourth street, after which Rast fired a bet on fifth street. Hansen called and checked when his ten paired on sixth street.
Hansen's pair did not deter Rast, who continued betting on sixth and seventh street.
Hansen called down, but mucked his cards when Rast revealed three fives. The Danish poker legend was left with just a few antes.

Jim Collopy had pushed his chips in the pot against Gabriel Ramos and Brian Rast, but only the showdown was caught. Collopy tabled a pair of kings, while Ramos had a six-low and a flush.
Rast quickly mucked his cards, and the entire pot was shipped to Ramos, spelling the end for Collopy's tournament run.

Tran checked on the flop of Q♦6♥5♠ and Hughes bet. Orlov and Tran both called. Tran and Hughes checked on the J♣ turn and Orlov bet. Both called.
All three players checked on the 6♣ river and Orlov showed the winner with A♥J♥5♥4♦ to beat out the 10♣5♦3♥2♥ of Hughes and the 3♠3♣ of Tran.
