Is This Player the Next Big Thing at the World Series of Poker?

Level 8
Bruno Furth
Bruno Furth

Caleb Furth, known to most as Bruno, had already proven his chops on the felt before the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). But he's taken his game to the next level this summer — or about three levels — and he might be just getting started.

The Las Vegas local won his first bracelet last year, a $265,361 score for taking down the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event, beating out 1,277 entrants. That victory was just the start of much bigger things to come.

Razz Too Easy for Lin

Level 8
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Jerry Wong: XxXx / 8x7xKx - folded on fifth street
David Stamm: XxXx / 3x - folded on third street
Ren Lin: XxXx / 3x5x4x

Jerry Wong completed and was called by David Stamm, before Razz "newcomer" Ren Lin raised. Only Wong called.

Wong called a bet on fourth street before folding to a bet on fifth street.

Throughout the hand, Lin kept asking the dealer if he was the player who got to act first, possibly hiding how much he knows about the game. Lin doesn't have any Razz cashes on his WSOP profile so there could be some truth in that he's not sure how the game works.

Despite this, he proclaimed "This game is too easy," before saying he was soon going to be the chip leader.

George Alexander

George Alexander: XxXx/6x5xAx
Aaron Kupin: XxXx/4x4x9x - folded on fifth street
Todd Ivens: XxXx/6x5xAx - folded on fifth street

Aaron Kupin called the bring-in and Todd Ivens completed. George Alexander made it three bets to go and both Kupin and Ivens called.

Kupin led out for a bet on fourth street and Ivens raised. Alexander three-bet and both Kupin and Ivens called once again.

Alexander caught an ace on fifth and led out for a bet. Kupin folded and Alexander shouted, "Don't fold, don't fold!" as Ivens laid his hand down as well — awarding the 2024 champ the pot.
