Alexander continued on fifth, and Birman got out of the way for Alexander and Hastings to go to the races.
After seventh street, Alexander had 7-6-5-4-2. Hastings needed a five or a trey to make a better low, but he peeled a 2x to double pair, leaving himself with a king-low.

Kane Kalas completed and Ali Eslami raised. Action folded back to Kalas, who made it three bets to go. Eslami called.
Eslami called a bet from Kalas on fourth street and then raised a bet from Kalas on fifth to put Kalas all in. Kalas called and boards were run.
Kalas drew to a seven-six on sixth street, but Eslami peeled a 5x on seventh to improve to a seven-five — eliminating Kalas early on Day 2.

Qiang Xu: Ax8x / 2xKx5x6x / 9x
Qiang Xu called before Dan Zack completed. The duo then exchanged raises with Xu capping the action.
Zack remained as the low on fourth street and bet. Xu called.
Zack paired up on fifth and called a bet before reluctantly calling for his tournament life on sixth street.
Zack was drawing dead with Xu having already made an 8-6-5-2-A, meaning the seventh street cards were a formality.

Motoyoshi Okamura completed and was raised by Nikolay Ponomarev. Ali Eslami called cold and action folded back to Okamura, who made it three bets to go. Ponomarev four-bet and Eslami capped it at five bets. Okamura called all in and Ponomarev called as well.
Eslami called bets from Ponomarev on fourth and fifth street and then Ponomarev check-called bets from Eslami on sixth and seventh.
Eslami turned over 10x2xAx for six-perfect, which was good for it all to score the massive pot and eliminate Okamura.

Qiang Xu: Ax6x / 10x4xKx7x / 6x
Late 2000s poker phenom Justin Smith completed with Qiang Xu calling from the next seat over.
Xu, who finished third in the $10,000 Stud Championship for $135,828, called all of Smith's bets from fourth to seventh street.
Smith was caught speeding as he sheepishly showed a jack-low. Xu tabled Ax6x6x for a T-7-6-4-A to take the pot.
Smith was left with just 12,000 after the hand and was eliminated shortly after.
