Taylor Doubles at Table of Death

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Table 659
Table 659

On a star-studded table, Jason Koon limped from the hijack and then saw Thomas Taylor raise to 40,000 on the button. Action folded back to Koon, who made the call.

The flop came down AQ7, which was the perfect storm to see Koon and Taylor maneuver their stacks into the middle.

Taylor was the player at risk, and the player revealed their hands.

Thomas Taylor: AAQ10 All in
Jason Koon: AQ104

A cooler situation, Taylor with top set versus Koon with top two pair and a flush draw.

The turn 8 kept Taylor in the lead, before the river Q improved both players to a full house. Taylor had the bigger boat, though, and once his stack was counted, the dealer pushed the nearly one million chip pot in his direction.
