Zable Knocks Out Chang

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

John Zable raised from middle position to 2,500. Jason Koon called from the hijack before Lawrence Chang popped it to 10,500. Zable and Koon both called to send the three to a flop.

Chang threw in his last 8,000 on the 326 flop, which led to calls from both Zable and Koon.

The 3 turn peeled off, and Zable chose to bet 22,000. Koon folded to send Chang and Zable to a showdown.

Lawrence Chang: KK74All in
John Zable: AQJ3

Zable's turned trip threes proved to be the winning hand as the 6 river did not improve Chang to send him out of the tournament.

Nikiforov's Aces Send Lau Home

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ilya Nikiforov
Ilya Nikiforov

Jonas Kronwitter raised to 2,700 under the gun before Ka Kwan Lau three-bet to 10,000 from the next seat. Ilya Nikiforov just called from the hijack and Kronwitter also called.

Kronwitter checked the 4310 flop and Lau jammed for 5,200. Nikiforov raised to 20,000, forcing Kronwitter to fold.

Ka Kwan Lau: KKJ7 All in
Ilya Nikiforov: AA76

Lau was dominated by Nikiforov's two aces and needed some help to survive. The rest of the board ran out Q6, which didn't help Lau, and he was out of the tournament.

Emmerson Jams on Suvarna

Level 3 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Santhosh Suvarna raised to 2,800 from early position and Robert Emmerson three-bet to 8,600 from the button. When it got back to Suvarna, he four-bet to around 30,000. Emmerson called.

Suvarna made a continuation-bet of 36,000 on the 567 flop. Not too long after, Emmerson jammed for around 115,000. Suvarna burned through two of his time bank cards before opting to fold and surrender the pot to Emmerson.

Bryce Yockey
Bryce Yockey

Zachary Schwartz raised to 4,000 under the gun. Bryce Yockey called in the hijack, and Terry Woodruff called in the cutoff.

The board came Q87 and Schwartz continued for 6,000. Yockey quickly assembled all of his remaining chips, and pushed his last 17,800 into the middle. Woodruff folded, but Schwartz quickly called.

Bryce Yockey: KJ97 All in
Zachary Schwartz: KQQ8

Schwartz had Yockey on the ropes, but the run out completed with the 9 and 10, and Yockey's straight saw him double up.

Lonis Doubles His Short Stack

Level 3 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Jesse Lonis
Jesse Lonis

After two early position limps, Jesse Lonis raised to 4,400 with just 11,000 behind. Noah Schwartz three-bet to around 8,000, forcing the limpers to fold. Lonis jammed for 15,500, and Schwartz called.

Jesse Lonis: AA63 All in
Noah Schwartz: KK96

Lonis looked in great shape with aces against the pocket kings of Schwartz. The flop of Q109 provided Schwartz with even more outs to win the pot. However, the rest of the board ran out 72 and Lonis doubled up.

Calvo Clears Out Opponents with Turn Bet

Level 3 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Chance Kornuth began the action with a limp from early position. Artem Babakhanian from the cutoff, Scott Eskenazi from the button, and Daniel Barriocanal from the small blind all followed suit by calling the big blind. Luis Calvo checked his option to send the group to a flop.

Everyone checked the 7KA to send the group to a turn.

When the 10 turn peeled off, Babakhanian and Eskenazi checked it over to Barriocanal, who slid out 3,000. Calvo called, and the rest of the table folded.

Barriocanal checked the J river and saw a bet of 10,000 from Calvo. Barriocanal did not think long before pitching his cards into the muck to award Calvo the pot.

Lonis Gives Speech, Raises River

Level 2 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Jesse Lonis raised in early position to 2,100. Only Vasil Medarov made the call from the small blind.

The flop came A87 and Medarov checked to Lonis, who bet 3,400. Medarov called.

The turn went check-check on the A, and the river was the 5. Medarov then led out for 3,500.

"What kind of bet is that?", Lonis asked. He proceeded to tell a story about how someone said the same thing to him in another event, raised on the river, and showed a bluff. Lonis reenacted the first part of that story, raising to 15,200. When Medarov folded, Lonis showed that he wasn't bluffing, as he revealed 55 for a rivered full house.

Chop it Up

Level 2 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Ap Garza began the hand with a raise to 2,000 from under the gun. Sean Rafael came along with a call from early position, Thomas Taylor called from the hijack, Stephen Hubbard came along from the small blind, and Ryan Weiss called from the big blind.

A round of checks from the entire table greeted the Q38 flop to bring a free turn.

The 9 peeled off, and the table checked to Rafael, who slid out 4,100. Taylor called before Mustafov chose to raise to 30,000. Hubbard, Reiss, and Garza folded. Rafael jammed, and Taylor folded. Mustafov called off and was at risk.

Rafael showed AKJ10 for a turned straight, and Mustafov showed QJJ10 for the same straight.

The 8 river did not change anything as both players chopped the pot.
