Duek Breathes a Sigh of Relief

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action was three-way to the 73J flop, where Gjergj Sinishtaj checked in the small blind. Michael Duek fired a bet of 20,000 from middle position and Frank Brannan made the call in the hijack.

Sinishtaj also called before checking the 9 turn. Duek used a time extension before betting the pot of 112,000. That produced quick folds from Sinishtaj and Brannan, and Duek let out a sigh of relief as he raked in the pot.

The action checked to Foxen on the 995 flop, and he bet 30,000. Marsico jammed for around 100,000, forcing Gerritse to fold. Foxen called and the cards were turned over.

Nagy Gets Paid by Alioto

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Gergo Nagy began the hand with a raise to 7,000, and he was called in three spots by Dario Alioto on the button, Charles Pacheco in the small blind, and Phil Ivey in the big blind.

The table checked around to Alioto on the button when the flop fanned out 286, who bet out 16,000. Pacheco and Ivey folded before Nagy stuck around with a call.

Nagy checked the K turn before Alioto fired 42,000. Nagy once again called to send them to the river.

The 7 river led to a bet of 85,000 by Nagy. Alioto took some time before he eventually made the call.

Nagy showed KQ109 for a straight, which was enough to take the pot as Alioto folded without showing.
