Daniel's Big Flop Bet Makes Pantaleo Ponder

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Tomer Daniel raised to 225,000 from the hijack and only Giuseppe Pantaleo defended from the big blind.

Pantaleo knuckled the action over to Pantaleo on the Q102 flop, and Daniel bet 600,000. Pantaleo thought for almost two minutes before reluctantly folding.

Qiaonan Liu Doubles up Early

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Following a limp from both button Matthew Beck and small blind Jason Stockfish, Qiaonan Liu potted to 500,000. Only Beck called. On a A4Q flop, Liu potted all in and was snapped off by Beck.

Liu held on the 54 runout to stay alive and get right back in the mix.

Snider With an Early Pot

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Giuseppe Pantaleo limped the cutoff and Jacob Snider just called from the small blind. Punnat Punsri checked from the big blind.

All three players checked the A5J flop to see the 7 come on the turn. Snider bet 225,000, which only Pantaleo called.

Snider bet 375,000 on the 2 river, forcing Pantaleo to fold.

Punnat Punsri Hot on Matthew Vengrin's Heels in Bracelet Search

Day 3 of Event #54: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha begins at noon local time. Eleven players will make their way to Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas to fight for a share of the $2,076,210 prize pool that is a culmination of 1,564 buy-ins that were made during Day 1.

The first-place prize of $306,791 will certainly be on the minds of many players, especially chip leader Matt Vengrin, who comes into the day with 7,620,000 chips. Completing the top three are Punnat Punsri (5,305,000) in second and Matthew Beck (4,790,000) just behind in third.

Punsri is still on the hunt to leave the “best without a bracelet” club, and after a brutal third-place finish in the $1,500 Shootout, he’ll be hoping to improve on that today and go all the way to the end.

The same can be said for Beck, who has already cashed in three pot-limit Omaha events this summer, and will be taking home a career-high score today no matter the outcome. That being said, he’ll certainly believe he can take the whole thing down, along with the top prize of $425,689

The remaining competitors will take their seats in Horseshoe Silver, as play begins at Level 28, with blinds at 50,000/100,000, with a 100,000 big blind ante. Play is not scheduled to end until there is a sole survivor, so a bracelet will be handed out to one of the players who bagged up last night.

Stay tuned as PokerNews brings you all of the action from the final day of competition, with live updates starting with cards in the air, and ending with a champion.
