Vengrin Scores Double KO

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

There was plenty of action preflop, as Ivan Starostin was all in and covered, with 371,000 up for grabs in the main pot. Didrik Mantor found himself in the same situation; however he was playing for an additional 128,000 in his side pot. Matt Vengrin was in contention for it all.

Ivan Starostin: AKQ6 All in
Didrik Mantor: AK109 All in
Matt Vengrin: AJ65

It was anybody's game preflop, but the commanding lead went to Vengrin as he flopped trips on 9JJ. The 7 turn was an interesting one, as both the covered players now had gutshots to add to their Broadway chop draw. They needed to hit while fading a club, but couldn't do so as the 2 sent them both packing.

Punsri and Pantaleo River Two Pair

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Punnat Punsri limped under the gun and Giuseppe Pantaleo made it 72,000 to go from middle position. When the action got back to Punsri, he called.

It was checked to the river on a board of J65210, where Punsri fired out 150,000. Pantaleo quickly called.

Punsri then flipped KJ108 for top two, and Pantaleo revealed AKJ10 for the same two pair.

"You got lucky," said Pantaleo to Punsri. "That was a nice river," he added.

Conrad Relents to Yockey's River Bet

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

On a flop of K49 with exactly 136,000 in the pot, Ryan Conrad potted it from the big blind and Bryce Yockey called in the hijack.

On the 2 turn, both checked to the A river, where Conrad tapped the table and Yockey threw out a bet of 115,000. Conrad mulled it over for some time, but eventually let it go, allowing Yockey's stack to grow to around 1,900,000.

Vohra and Andia Both Have a Boat

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jorge Paredes Andia opened from middle position to 44,000 and Rajesh Vohra called in the big blind.

They saw a flop of 9106, where both checked to the 6 turn. Vohra tapped the table again and Andia threw out 38,000. Vohra then check-raise to 150,000, which Andia called.

A 7 hit the river and Vohra took some time before he made a bet of 250,000. Andia snap-called by tossing a chip in.

Vohra then showed a full house with KJ106, but Andia flipped KQ99 for a bigger boat to take the pot.

Yockey Hero Calls for Chop

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Bryce Yockey found himself under the gun, and open-potted it to 42,000. Middle position player Didrik Mantor then repotted, to the tune of 144,000. Yockey slid in the call.

The JK9 flop checked through, as did the 10 turn, before action started to heat up on the river. Yockey put 63,000 into the middle, prompting Mantor to go into the tank. After just over a minute, Mantor then slid in a raise to 155,000. It was now Yockey's turn to tank, and he took even longer to think before finally placing in a chip.

Yockey waited to see Mantor's hand, and Mantor begrudgingly flipped over AK87 for a jack-high straight, and Yockey showed that, despite any queen-x straight combo having him beat, he had called with nothing but the low end of the straight. He tabled K987 and the two chopped the pot.

Punsri Sizes Up

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Three-quarters of the table were off to a flop, as Michael Trivett, Tara Dunn, and Benjamin Eilers all limped from under the gun, middle position, and the hijack, respectively. Punnat Punsri called on the button, Sean Troha did the same from the small blind, and Robert Nehorayan checked his option.

The 4K5 flop was on track to check through, until Punsri bet out for 28,000 into the field. He succeeded in thinning it, as only Nehorayan called.

The 8 peeled off on the turn, and Punsri bet again when checked to, this time for 140,000. The dealer counted out the pot to ensure that it was a legal bet, and just moments after it was determined to be allowed, Nehorayan folded.
