Punsri Doubles With the Nuts

Rayan Chamas raised to 175,000 from early position with Punnat Punsri calling from the small blind, and Michael Monroig defending his big blind.

Punsri led out for 190,000 on the 8♣7♣6♠ flop. Monroig raised to 1,045,000, forcing Chamas to fold. Punsri called for his 1,000,000 and the cards were revealed.

Punsri had flopped the nuts against the two pair and flush draw of Monroig. The 9♥ turn improved Punsri to an even higher striaght. The 4♥ on the river didn't help Monroig, and Punsri doubled with a straight.

Catching the action on the river of a board that showed K♦8♦A♦10♥Q♠ and with over 1,000,000 in the pot. Amnon Filippi jammed from the small blind to put Samuel Del Castillo all in out of the big blind. Castillo made the call for his last 200,000.

Castillo revealed a baby flush with A♥9♣5♦2♦, but was second best to Filippi's higher flush with A♠J♠J♦4♦. The pot was pushed to Filippi and Castillo was out in 19th.

The very hand after having his stack decimated by a brutal river, Michael Trivett found himself in the small blind, with action on him. Only having 75,000 left, he shoved blind into Vadim Shlez, who called blind, Trivett sweated his cards one by one.
