Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #57: $50,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. This event will play with a 30-second shot clock.

Day 1 of the three-day event will kick off at 2 p.m. local time with starting stacks of 300,000 and 40-minute levels on Day 1, which will play 12 levels with 15-minute breaks every three levels. Registration will remain open until the start of Level 14 on Day 2, about 2:15 p.m. Players are allowed a maximum of two reentries.

Action will pick back up on Day 2 on Saturday, June 21, at 1 p.m., and will play down to five players. Levels will increase to 60 minutes on Days 2 and 3. There will be a 60-minute dinner break on Day 2 after Level 19.

Last year's event saw Germany's Daniel Perkusic topping a field of 187 runners to win his first bracelet and $2,100,325.

Christopher Frank raised to 3,500 under the gun. Dario Alioto called in the cutoff, and the two went heads up to a flop of 987, which checked through.

Frank also checked the 9 turn, this time being faced with Alioto's bet of 3,000 afterward. Frank made a quick fold, and Alioto was awarded the small pot.

Sneaky Li

Ben Lamb raised to 3,500 from the cutoff, Tong Li called on the button and Gruffudd Pugh-Jones called in the big blind.

The board ran out 22A3Q with all players checking down to the river.

Li bet 7,500, only to face a raise to 29,500 from Pugh-Jones. Lamb folded, and Li responded with a re-raise to 90,000. Pugh-Jones snap-called, but could only muck as Li revealed JAA5 for a slow-played full house, having flopped aces full of deuces.

The flop came 897 and both players checked to the 5 turn. Chidwick led out for 10,500 and Lindgren called.

On the J river, Chidwick slowed down with a check and Lindgren bet 35,000. Chidwick thought for a brief moment before tossing his cards into the muck.

Karakitukov Wins Five-Bet Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Robert Cowen had three-bet an earlier open to 9,000 on the button, which [Removed:548] four-bet to 26,500 from the small blind. Veselin Karakitukov then piled in 102,000 from the big blind.

Cowen called, prompting [Removed:549] to get out of the way. Karakitukov then contiuned for 40,000 on the 727 flop, which received a snap-fold from Cowen and awarded the Bulgarian the pot.
