Newey Goes for Thin Value, Doesn't Pay Off

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Sebastian Toro and Paul Newey were heads-up on the river with the board reading Q536J. Toro led out with a bet of 8,500 and Newey raised to 28,000.

Toro spent over two minutes in the tank and finally called. Newey flipped over KQ for top pair and what he thought was the winner, but Toro tabled AQ for top pair and a better kicker to scoop the pot.
