Aziz Makes Top Pair and Shuts Down
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
There was a raise from the cutoff which Marcelo Aziz and Frank Funaro called from the blinds. The flop came 7♦5♦4♣ and the action checked around to the 8♣ on the turn.
Aziz checked again but Funaro tossed in a bet of 3,500. The cutoff folded and Aziz check-raised to 14,500. Funaro called and the 10♦ hit the river. Aziz checked and Funaro was happy to quickly check it back. Aziz held A♦10♥ for just top pair on the river and Funaro showed his 7♥4♠ for two pair to win the pot.
