Krentzman Finds a Consolation Prize on the River

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ali Shahni raised to 10,000 from under the gun and was called by Evan Krentzman on his left along with both of the blinds. Four players went to the flop of 1063 and the action checked to Krentzman who bet 15,000. Alisson Piekazewicz was the only player to call from the big blind.

The turn was the J and Piekazewicz check-called another bet of 50,000 from Krentzman. The Q hit the river and Piekazewicz checked one more time. Krentzman threw in a bet of 75,000 and Piekazewicz looked him up. Krentzman turned over AQ for a rivered pair and that was good enough to win the pot.
