Kings Full, but Not Feeling It

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With around 180,000 in the pot, the flop came 775 and three players were in the mix. Srikanth Yadlapati checked from the small blind, Jonas Mackoff followed suit in the big blind, and Eric Yanovsky fired for 70,000 from middle position. Both blinds called to see the turn.

The K hit the felt, and all three checked.

On the 7 river, Yadlapati led out for 80,000. Mackoff took a while before making the call, and the action was now on Yanovsky. After glancing at his cards and chips, he shook his head and muttered, “I’m such a nit,” before tossing in the call.

Yadlapati showed A8 for ace high. Mackoff revealed A8, also ace high. But it was Yanovsky who turned over KK for a full house, kings full of sevens, scooping the pot with a slight look of frustration despite the win.
