Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Mackoff Turns Up Quads to Bust Ausmus in Massive Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

With about 9,300 already in the pot and the flop showing 33A, all three players, Ethan Yau in the big blind, Jeremy Ausmus in middle position, and Jonas Mackoff on the cutoff, checked it through.

On the 5 turn, Yau led out for 5,500. Both Ausmus and Mackoff called.

The 10 hit the river, and Yau fired again, this time for 16,000, leaving just 400 behind. Ausmus thought it over and called, before Mackoff moved all in for roughly 69,200.

Yau tanked and eventually folded, clinging to just a few chips. Ausmus called and tabled 55 for a full house, but it wasn’t enough, Mackoff turned over 33 for quads to scoop the monster pot and send Ausmus to the rail.
